Good news! It rained a little in Whangarei township during the very windy early hours of the 27th of 
April, and then it rained in substantial quantities throughout much of the day today. It was a significant change from the light spitting we have been getting repeatedly this year, which was effectively “Clayton’s rain,” but not as much as we are used to on heavy rain days here in Whangarei.
