It appears to have been a big day for the weather engineers over Northland today with plenty of aerosols being seen throughout the day, up until sunset. Thank-you to Roger, Brad and Matthew for contacting me regarding the aerosol trail which appeared in roughly a north-south orientation at about 6.45pm tonight. This is shown in the first photo which was taken from Woodhill, Whangarei. I checked Flightradar24.com to see if a likely suspect had flown past, but none appeared.Below: Half-an-hour later, the same trail is still visible. This was taken from the Whangarei CBD (Commerce Street). This shows three trails in parallel.
Above: At about 7.45pm, an aircraft was seen in the process of spraying an aerosol, which was seen to linger for over 15 minutes. The photo below shows the same trail about 5 minutes after this first one was taken, at about 7.50pm.
Above: At about 7.52pm. A spherical shape was seen amongst the aerosol material here. Look above the second lamp post for a pinkish spherical shaped object. A little later another was seen in the vicinity of this one.
Below: Looking in another direction, more aerosols evident at about 8.05pm.
Below: Taken at about 8.07pm to show how the trail seen at 7.45pm in the process of being sprayed, lingered. Also, this shows that the sky had trails that had dispersed and spread out, also. It was an aerosol soup again today.
