Parts of Auckland are experiencing surface flooding this afternoon as a high moves away from the country.

Photos sent to 3 News show parts of Portland Rd in the suburb of Remuera underwater as wet weather sets in.

“With the big fat high moving on, this now opens the door for other weather makers to move in, with cloud and some rain expected in a number of places during the weekend,” says MetService meteorologist Dan Corbett.
