The Advanced Modular Incoherent Scatter Radar

Tony of Ozarks, sent the following conglomeration related to the Advanced Modular Incoherent Scatter Radar:

The Advanced Modular Incoherent Scatter Radar (AMISR) is a fairly recent development, and employed in the global scientific space takeover program for the purposes of “owning the weather.”

I would like to draw your attention to information regarding the global atmospheric takeover within the scientific community, in particular that from the SRI (Stanford Science Foundation) within the NSF (National Science Foundation).

– This advancement is allowing the ‘HAARP’ program to continue under a new name, on a global scale.

– Its functions can be related to Bernard Eastlund’s statements regarding HAARP’s abilities.

–  The world’s atmosphere/ weather patterns are being exploited.

– Essentially, AMISR makes the ‘HAARP program’ mobile, modular, and global to further supposedly covert agendas.

AMISR is a modular, mobile radar facility that will be used by scientists and students from around the world to conduct studies of the upper atmosphere and to observe space weather events.

SRI International, under a grant from the National Science Foundation, is leading a collaborative effort in the development of AMISR, whose novel modular configuration is designed to allow relative ease of relocation for studying upper atmospheric activity around the globe. Remote operation and electronic beam steering will allow researchers operate and position the radar beam instantaneously to accurately measure rapidly changing space weather events.

When completed, AMISR will consist of three separate radar faces, with each face comprised of 128 building block-like panels over a 30 x 30 meter roughly square surface. AMISR is being constructed in two stages: the first face in Poker Flat, Alaska, has been completed and is already being used for scientific investigations. The remaining two faces are under construction in Resolute Bay, Nunavut, Canada. Future AMISR locations will be determined by a scientific advisory panel. Since each face of AMISR functions independently, AMISR can be deployed in up to three separate locations at the same time.

The Advanced Modular Incoherent Scatter Radar (AMISR) is a new ISR that employs modular solid-state and phased-array technologies and will yield measurements of the upper atmosphere and ionosphere with unprecedented versatility and power. AMISR is being deployed at Poker Flat Research Range (PFRR), Chatanika, Alaska (65°N, 147°W) to investigate auroral processes. The AMISR facility establishes a new state-of-the-art for IS radar design by implementing fully electronic beam steering with a phased array of 4096 UHF transceivers. This beam pointing capability is available on a pulse-by-pulse basis.
This installation is coordinated by SRI, International.

AMISR and the PFISR / RISR sites

The “Argentine Ionospheric Radar Experimental Station” (AIRES) project was born in 2005, with the long term objective of deploying the first “global ionosphere plasma laboratory” exploiting the geomagnetic conjugation between Arecibo (Puerto Rico) and La Plata (Argentina). In those days, the “Advanced Modular Incoherent Scatter Radar” (AMISR) –a state-of-the-art incoherent scatter radar developed under the sponsorship of the US NSF–, become operational and demonstrated its potentiality for high resolution 3-D remote sensing of Mesosphere, Thermosphere and Ionosphere. AIRES was founded on the basis of deploying AMISR at the Arecibo geomagnetic conjugate point. The road map to AIRES was traced during a workshop convened jointly by Argentina and US scientists. It was held at the Arecibo Observatory, in 2006, and was attended by 50 participants. The workshop report stated three major action items: 1) formalized collaborations between Argentine and US scientific Institutions and founding agencies; 2) deploy smaller instrumentation while developing strong collaborative ties; 3) fully deployment of AIRES. Particular emphasis was paid to capacity building activities associated to AIRES, in both, technology and science fields. Accomplishing the action items sated in the workshop, a broad consensus was constructed witting the US and Argentina Upper Atmosphere community. In April 2009, the AIRES project was presented in an ad-hoc meeting between US NSF and Argentina MINCyT and CONICET authorities. The Instituto Argentino de Radioastronomía (IAR) was identified to deploy AMISR. A site survey conducted there demonstrated the suitability of this site and identified the main requirements to deploy AMISR: improving power supply and access infrastructure, and build up the AMISR platform. A variety of small instruments dedicated to upper atmospheric studies are being deployed in Argentina, involving a budget of U$S 2.5 millions mostly afforded by the US NSF. In parallel, a variety of capacity building activities are being performed, including interchange of US and Argentina students and the organization of the “School in Upper Atmospheric Dynamics and Chemistry” that will be held next October, in San Juan (Argentina), under the sponsorship of the Pan American Advanced Study Institutes (PASI) and CONICET. 30 students and 15 lecturers from US and Latin America will be fully granted by the sponsor institutions. Besides, UNLP initiated the process to establish an Atmospheric Science Curriculum for under- and post-graduated level. During its five years life, AIRES proved to be very synergetic for developing research and capacity building activities involving scientists, engineers and students from a number of US and Argentina institutions. The deployment of AMISR at IAR will provide the unique opportunity to establish the first global ionosphere plasma laboratory. The geomagnetic conjugation between Arecibo and La Plata will open unprecedented opportunities for understanding global-scale energy transport processes in the upper atmosphere. AIRES could be operational at IAR as early of 2013 (the US NSF has already approved U$S 2.5 millions for constructing the initial phases). Several Argentina institutions have committed their efforts to make this dream reality. Next efforts must be devoted to extract the maximum benefit from this initiative regarding science, technology and capacity building in Argentina. Doors to board AIRES are open and Argentina scientists and institutions are encourage to make part of this great challenge.

Alaska Radar System Aids Research On Space Weather, Solar Storms

    Tuesday, 2 June 2009

Scientists are using the novel system to investigate the interaction of upper atmospheric phenomena, which are driven by energetic particles and the solar wind that cause spectacular displays of the aurora borealis, with lower atmospheric phenomena such as tropospheric storms and weather patterns. Remote operation and electronic beam steering allows researchers to operate and position the radar beam instantaneously to accurately measure rapidly changing space weather events.

    (to control the interaction)

“The AMISR system is unique among upper atmospheric radars in that it is capable of observing small-scale and temporally dynamic phenomena such as the aurora and space weather storms. Scientists need to understand how the upper atmosphere behaves on these scales to adequately study climate change and other processes linked to the transfer of energy and momentum from the surface of the sun to Earth’s atmosphere,” said Robert Robinson, AMISR program manager at NSF.

    (it is capable of reproducing)

The article, “Coordinated Optical and Radar Image Measurements of Noctilucent Clouds and Polar Mesospheric Summer Echoes,” by Michael Taylor, Ph.D., professor at Utah State University, describes the first detailed investigation of the common horizontal and vertical structures of radar and optical mesospheric clouds. These are the highest altitude clouds, which form in the mesopause, the coldest part of the Earth’s atmosphere. These high-altitude clouds may be an indicator for global climate change since their increasing occurrence rate implies a cooling mesopause.

A second article, “Volumetric Imaging of the Ionosphere: Initial Results from the PFISR,” by Joshua Semeter, Ph.D., associate professor at Boston University, presents the first three-dimensional images of the aurora borealis seen from PFISR. Volumetric imaging allows scientists to observe in three dimensions where and how magnetospheric energy is deposited into the system that couples the Earth’s ionosphere and upper atmosphere. Without this kind of detailed understanding, space weather models can not reproduce or predict future behavior.

    !!!reproduce or predict!!!

Novel Radar is Dedicated Solely to the Research Community

NSF operates other large incoherent scatter radars, including ones located in Greenland, Peru, Puerto Rico, and Massachusetts. The SRI-designed AMISR is the first NSF-funded radar system that was developed and built specifically for scientific research.

NASA has used the array to determine the most optimal space weather conditions for launching scientific rockets. Since AMISR is capable of simultaneous monitoring in multiple directions, measurements can provide a multi-dimensional view of Earth’s upper atmosphere and ionosphere in real-time, providing a unique perspective for scientific rocket and satellite missions. AMISR is a significant technical advance from systems that provide one-dimensional measurements along a single trajectory.

    (to reproduce the most optimal)

Sojka explained, “The year-long AMISR data set contained the information we needed to resolve long-standing questions about how the ionosphere responds to energy input associated with such phenomena as the aurora borealis and atmospheric waves and tides. Only AMISR has the necessary temporal and spatial resolution to study this very dynamic region of Earth’s atmosphere.”

“Because the very large AMISR system is configured in modules, the facility can be relocated for studying upper atmospheric activity around the globe,” said John Kelly, Ph.D., director of SRI’s Center for GeoSpace Studies. “In addition, each of the three antennae faces of the system can operate together or can be independently deployed in up to three separate locations. This facilitates comprehensive data gathering to increase our scientific understanding of upper atmospheric phenomena, which ultimately will help prevent the potentially large economic losses that can result from severe space weather events.”

    (Will help exploit the potential)

SRI’s Center for GeoSpace Studies researches the fundamental processes governing the nature of the upper atmosphere and space environment. Experimental studies use incoherent scatter radar, satellite and optical instruments, and radiowave diagnostics. Under the auspices of the National Science Foundation, SRI’s Center operates, manages, and conducts research at a facility in Sondrestrom, Greenland, and at the Resolute Bay Early Polar Cap Observatory in Canada.

(the SRI side of haarp program)

Advanced Modular Incoherent Scatter Radar (AMISR) is the first system to provide scientists with the technology necessary to collect critical data and study global climate trends from year to year. Scientists can now investigate the energy and momentum transfer among all layers of the Earth’s upper atmosphere, accessing critical data on the complex physical processes that comprise the sun, magnetosphere, and ionosphere. Data collected from the high-latitude atmosphere and ionosphere provide an opportunity for early detection of climate-change phenomena. Space weather events, which can potentially damage and interrupt power grids and satellite and electronic communication, are also monitored.

(reread that last sentence would ya)

AMISR measures 30 meters on a side and is made up of 4,096 antennas, giving a combined power of up to two megawatts. By phasing the signal coming from the individual antennas, the radar beam can be steered almost instantaneously from one position in the sky to another. This unique feature of AMISR is especially important for studying rapidly moving features of the atmosphere.

    (500 watts per transmitter)

AMISR has enabled researchers to better understand how the magnetosphere and solar winds deposit energy into the Earth’s atmosphere. By studying radar clouds and aurorae in three dimensions (two horizontal, one vertical), scientists can determine whether a change in the upper atmosphere at one location is caused by a real change in the overall system or simply the movement of a plasma cloud that already existed. (Did the plasma cloud form here or move from another location?)

This is crucial for truly understanding this coupled system and to make predictions about future behavior.

  2. Try says:

Bernard Eastlund, who developed the technology at ARCO, has described his original plan as an opportunity to use the transmitter to shoot down missiles and alter the weather.

The secret is the beam-steering agility and pulsing of the transmissions. . . .

HAARP’s phased-array transmitters are intended to “heat” the ionosphere, the uppermost portion of the earth’s atmosphere, which is composed mainly of charged particles: “HAARP will excite these particles by injecting more than a gigawatt (one billion watts) of electromagnetic radiation into the earth’s atmosphere, in the form of high frequency radio waves,”

The Eastlund ionos-pheric heater was different; the radio frequency (RF) radiation was concentrated and focused to a point in the ionosphere.

“Thus, this invention provides the ability to put unprecedented amounts of power in the Earth’s atmosphere at strategic locations and to maintain the power injection level particularly if random pulsing is employed, in a manner far more precise and better controlled than heretofore accomplished by the prior art, particularly by detonation of nuclear devices of various yields at various altitudes… ”

“Weather modification is possible by, for example, altering upper atmosphere wind patterns by constructing one or more plumes of atmospheric particles which will act as a lens  or focusing device. … molecular modifications of the atmosphere

As if electromagnetic pulses in the sky and mental disruption were not enough, T. Eastlund bragged that the super-powerful ionospheric heater could control weather.

The secret is the beam steering agility and pulsing of the transmissions…

    http://www.theforbiddenknowledge.com/hardtruth/omegafile30.htm

The concept of non-linear is important in understanding the concerns of independent scientists who are knowledgeable about advanced physics and who warn against brash high-energy experiments on the ionosphere. Non-linear processes can change suddenly and unexpectedly, or they can increase in power dramatically. Some theorists such as Zielinski say that a non-linear process can under certain conditions tap into the background energy of space, which is also called “zero-point fluctuations of the vacuum”.

a tool that can focus and steer the radio frequency energy upward. This makes it capable of hitting the ionosphere with a far greater impact than possible from the previous design of heaters.

    http://www.thelivingmoon.com/45jack_files/03files/HAARP_Project_Ground_Based_Star_Wars.html

HAARP technology is quite simply, an Ionospheric Heater utilizing “electron cyclotron reasonance” – meaning it creates vortices.  It is euphemistically referred to as “ionospheric enhancement technology.”

…power potential and beam steering capabilities to focus its powerful beam specifically on its intended target…

…utilizing the “electron cyclotrone resonance heating effect”…

Simply stated, chemtrails and HAARP clouds are apples and oranges. Yes, they may occur at the same time, and the last year or so, they often do. MOST of the “chemtrail” websites and/or YouTube.com videos innocently and mistakenly include all the strange, man-made, unexplainable clouds as “chemtrails” – well they’re not all “chemtrails.” I promise you that by the time you’re done reading this paper and researching the many links – AND LOOKING UP AND SEEING WHAT’S GOING ON IN OUR SKIES – ON A REGULAR BASIS, you will be able to tell the difference. I promise!
