I have been chewing over the events of the past week and after meeting Christopher I feel he has been ill treated by the media. I telephoned the BSA and spoke to a lawyer called Patricia who was very helpful. She feels that there may well be a lack of balance in the programming and invited me to submit a complain which I have as follows however I would suggest that you also put the word out to get others to write in to complain at the lack of media coverage

Dear Sirs,
Quite by chance I discovered Lord Christopher Monckton was in New Zealand for the first time on a speaking tour. I was advised that he was originally engaged to talk on man made climate change on the Q&A Program and Closeup but following communication from the proponents of global warming the offer to appear was withdrawn. My Complaint is that we the public are being continually given one side of the climate issue. The inconvenient truth movie is labeled propaganda by the British courts, 31,000 scientists in America alone have signed a declaration to the effect that the IPCC science is unproven yet all we hear about is man made climate change and the need for an ETS yet nothing about the fact that we are carbon based lifeforms and increased C02 levels would enable plants to grow bigger and better, if the world did warm significantly then millions of acres could come under arable production in the Northern hemisphere (not good for NZ) and that climate changes occur naturally all the time evidence of which is easily found historically.
My complaint is that the broadcasting is unbalanced and biased. We should have balanced programs and this is not occurring. If you are unable to achieve this who can?
The government plans to price carbon dioxide emissions at $23 a tonne from next July before moving to an emissions trading scheme in three years.
In a severe shock to the global financial system, the US last week was subject to its first credit rating downgrade in history…………………..
……………I suggest a four-step program for the government, if circumstances require it.
The first step is to revive economic confidence and secure Australia’s position as a worthy place to invest, by abandoning the economically destructive carbon and mining tax schemes.

NASA satellite data from the years 2000 through 2011 show the Earth’s atmosphere is allowing far more heat to be released into space than alarmist computer models have predicted, reports a new study in the peer-reviewed science journal Remote Sensing. The study indicates far less future global warming will occur than United Nations computer models have predicted, and supports prior studies indicating increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide trap far less heat than alarmists have claimed……………

This is an interesting paper about Jatropha oil which was pitched as a wonder plant – survives in arid climates, on marginal land, high yield and doesn’t supplant other (food) species. A wonder crop for the impoverished to save the world.
However, as is, sadly, often the case, an urgent and top down response to AGW is proving expensive and not successful. In fact farmers are abandoning the crop, the yields are way down on promises and the plants are susceptible to disease and termites. The lack of due diligence into the plan to extensively plant this species has led to an unsatisfactory outcome. This of course points to the benefit of caution before “doing something, anything to avoid catastrophic AGW”.

The debate over global warming has intensified in recent weeks after a new NASA study was interpreted by skeptics to reveal that global warming is not man-made. While a majority of Americans nationwide continue to acknowledge significant disagreement about global warming in the scientific community, most go even further to say some scientists falsify data to support their own beliefs.

I attended Lord Monckton in Whangerei as I found a small article on pg 5 of the Herald and raced up from Auckland. To my delight we were able to get in. Lord Monckton explained the millions of dollars it wil cost us Kiwis to implement ETS. I, for one, am not going to get suckered and I have gone out of my way to annoy Bill English with Lord Monckton’s paper he presented at the Prague School of Economics. It explains the financial cost to countries that foolishly head down the ETS plan and in my mind just another tax to the middle class on top of ACC, GST etc., I wonder when the Government will harness their tax agenda addictions and start looking at zero tax to get the economy growing!
I also attended David Icke in Manukau Auckland last night (12 hour speech marathon-no teleprompter either) a climate realist who covers the intent of the New World Order of the Illuminati.I recommend watching him on youtube http://www.youtube.com/user/davidicke explain Occupy Wall Street movement.
I strongly urge people to start writing to Bill English and John Key and put some pressure on them. Protesting along with a bunch of hippies doesn’t seem to have any affect. I get more results emailing the Ministers so I urge all NZers to write and keep writing in a formal manner because we can all effect change if we ‘chip away’ at the politicians regularly.
